Job overview:    

Schneider is seeking a Logistics Traffic Manager in Monroe to oversee all inbound and outbound activities at a distribution center. The Logistics Traffic Manager will identify, design, develop and engineer continuous improvement efforts for the client, as well as solve problems as they arise.    

Responsibilities:    

  • Coach and mentor other leaders.    
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.    
  • Manage the transportation budget for a distribution center.    
  • Report on performance metrics.    
  • Monitor carrier compliance and meet with carriers on a regular basis.    
  • Resolve all transportation and shipping issues that come up.    
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.    
  • Exceed service expectations. 

Skills and qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field.    
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.    
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, warehouse environment.    
  • Excellent leadership skills.    
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
