Job overview:

Schneider is seeking a Logistics Team Leader in Pataskala to oversee daily operations and work either exclusively or primarily on-site at the customer's location. The Logistics Team Leader will lead Senior Transportation Analysts and work closely with the customer logistics teams, leaders and front-line warehouse and office associates to plan and execute daily tasks.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan daily activities for the staff and carriers.
  • Distribute and supervise work among team members. 
  • Provide training to team members on department policies, procedures and processes.
  • Recommend improvements to current systems and processes.
  • Work with suppliers, carriers and associates to identify and eliminate system defects.
  • Build a relationship with carriers to execute service and savings agreements.
  • Collaborate with the customer to ensure proper trailer movements and load accuracy.

Skills and qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics or related field.
  • 2-4 years of previous supply chain, logistics or transportation experience.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Able to travel.
